What a crazy busy month, I think we had company every weekend, a few much needed days of rain and more trips out of town than I wanted to take. Not a lot of creativity happened next door, but we had two wonderful weekends of grandchildren and that more than made up for it! I did put together a fun little quilt for a friends baby shower, made a dress for grand-daughter #2 and cleaned up more of my stash. So it wasn't a completely lazy month! I am now back at it and the quilting machine has been humming along this week. Of course now with summer right around the corner...I know I will find a few more distractions:)
Here is the baby quilt I created~ the colors don't show very well but the zig zag border is bright purple with a green/white zebra stripe. The backing fabric I LOVE! It is called mythical horses, and I need to find more of it! I had a charm pack (also pictured) that was my starting point, then I just dug through the stash and it grew from there. I quilted it with a bright purple thread. Most of the fabrics were batiks and I had some trouble with the thread wanting to loop, something I need to work on, but I think slowing down and changing my needle often would help.
